John Oppermann, Retired Farmer, Taken By Death John Oppermann, 71, retired farmer, died last evening, April 8, 1949, at the Manning General Hospital. He had been in poor health for some time.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ohde Funeral home here and burial will be in the Manning Cemetery. The Rev. Brown Garlock, minister of the Methodist church, will officiate. Oppermann was a widower. His wife, Martha (Stuedeman), died in 1938.

Son of John Detlef and Magdalina (Hansen) Oppermann, he was born November 28, 1877.
