JOHN A. PETERS
Funeral services for John A. Peters, 83, of Manning, who was found dead at his home Tuesday morning, January 20, 1959, will be held in the Ohde Funeral Home here at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Lester Moore officiating. Ray Pratt will be the soloist. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Mr. Peters was born in Cook County, Illinois, September 27, 1875. His parents were John A. and Elizabeth (Seimsen) Peters. At the age of six months, he came to Carroll County with his parents, and on March 18, 1902, was married at Manning to Clara Dorothea Lohmeier.

Mr. and Mrs. Peters farmed near Arcadia for 16 years, moving to Manning in 1917. In 1921, they moved to a farm west of Manning and in 1928 returned to Manning to make their home.

Mrs. Peters passed away April 14, 1949.

Surviving are two sons Orla and Gilbert of Manning, four granddaughters, one grandson and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding Mr. Peters in death, besides his parents and wife, were a son Elmer and two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Slentze and Mrs. Amanda Heller.
