SERVICES FRIDAY FOR JOHN SCHUMANN
Death claimed John Schumann, 80, of Westside at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 1950, in the Manning General Hospital. His death was attributed to a heart ailment complicated by influenza.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John's Evangelical Reformed Church, Westside, of which Mr. Schumann was a member. The Rev. E.J. Otte of Mapleton will officiate.

The rites have been delayed because of the illness of Mrs. Schumann and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. LeRoy Schumann, who lives with her.

Mr. Schumann, retired farmer, was a longtime Crawford County resident. Mr. and Mrs. Schumann celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary February 28, 1950.

Surviving with his wife are three daughters and two sons: Mrs. Herbert Snyder (Elizabeth), Westside; Mrs. Harry Schroeder (Elsie), Westside; Mrs. J.T. Bohnsen (Laura), Wyoming, Iowa, and LeRoy and Louis Schumann, Westside.

A son, Edwin, died at the age of 19 years.

Son of Nicholas and Johanna (Pickenschneider) Schumann, he was born May 12, 1869.
