He had been living in Harlan for a number of years where he was employed by the Iowa State highway commission.
He is survived by his widow, seven sons and two daughters. One son, Edward, preceded him in death. His children are William, Harlan; Charles, Honolulu, Hawaii; Norbert, Denver, Colorado; Leo, Howard and Paul, Harlan; John, Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Dorothy Schichinger, Harlan, and Mrs. Agnes Costello, Norfolk, Nebraska. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Eden of Manning, Mrs. Dora Reinholdt, Huntington Park, California, Mrs. Rose Petersen, Omaha, Nebraska, and one brother, Charles Stephany of Woodbine.
Mrs. Eden and her son, Arthur and wife of Titonka attended the funeral.
