Oelwien Man's Funeral Will Be Conducted on Tuesday
The funeral of Edward Wilke, who hanged himself at his home here Saturday, March 10, 1928, while despondent over family affairs, will be conducted at 2:90 p.m. Tuesday at the Presbyterian Church.

Wilke was an employee of Chicago Great Western shops here. Notice of his wife's suit for divorce was served on him Saturday, according to testimony at the inquest conducted here Sunday by Coroner S.B. Smiddle. It is believed the suicide occurred early Saturday evening, the body having been found about 10 p.m.

The widow Johanna and several children survive.

Born in Germany, he was born February 19, 1879. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, Iowa.

Julius Edward Wilke, 49 years old, a helper at the Chicago Great Western shops, hanged himself late Saturday night at his home here. Marital troubles and despondency were given as the cause.
