Kramer Von Doehren Dies, Following Brief Illness
Funeral services for Kramer Von Doehren, 25, were held in the Holstein Funeral Home on Monday afternoon, June 22, with burial in the Galva Township Cemetery, Galva, Iowa.

Mr. Von Doehren (Döhren) came to Manning about a month ago to operate the projection machines at the Crystal Theatre. He was suddenly taken ill last Thursday and passed away Friday morning, June 19, 1942. He had suffered from diabetes for several years.

He was born January 4, 1917, at Battle Creek, Iowa. Most of his life was spent in Holstein where he graduated from the local school.

He was married to Marion Lorenzen at Holstein, April 3, 1941.

Before coming to Manning he was operator in the Manilla Theatre.

Dr. John V. Madison of the Sioux City Methodist Church, who performed his marriage ceremony a little more than a year ago, conducted the funeral service, assisted by Rev. L.J. Runion of the Holstein Methodist Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph H. Kuhl attended the service. Mr. Von Doehren was the son of Mr. Kuhl's cousin.

Close relatives surviving are his parents and his wife. He was an only child.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Graham and Mrs. W.H. Marks went to Holstein on Monday to attend the funeral of Kramer Von Doebren, 25, a friend of the family who died very soddenly after only a few days illness. He leaves his wife of a year. Mr. Von Doehren lived at Manning and burial was at Holstein.
