MRS. LORENE NEUBAUM
Mrs. Lorene Neubaum, 67, of Carroll died at the Carroll Health Center at 12:45 p.m. Friday, October 26, 1973.

Requiem mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry B. Karhoff, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carroll, Iowa. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Saturday and at 3 and 8 p.m. Sunday.

Mrs. Neubaum was born at Carroll February 28, 1906, a daughter of John and Elizabeth (Wolf) Goedert, and spent her early years in the Carroll vicinity. On October 10, 1939, she married Erhart Neubaum at St. Ambrose Church in Des Moines. They made their home for several years in Manning, where they owned and operated the Neubaum Drug Company. After the sale of the business they moved to Omaha. Mr. Neubaum died in 1960.

In 1971, Mrs. Neubaum moved to Colorado, and since January 17, 1973, she had lived at the Health Center. She was a member of St. Lawrence Church and had belonged to Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

Mrs. Neubaum is survived by a son, Dr. Edward, of Seattle, Washington; three grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Frank (Josephine) Daley and Mrs. Harold J. (Ann) Traner of Carroll, Mrs. John (Viola) McGrane of Wadena, Minnesota; and Mrs. Henry (Lucinda) Eischeid of Halbur; and a brother, Harold Goedert of San Francisco, California.

Two brothers preceded her in death in addition to her husband.

The family requests that contributions be made to the Carroll County chapter of the American Cancer Society in memory of Mrs. Neubaum.

Requiem mass for Mrs. Lorene Neubaum, 67, of Carroll was celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Lawrence Church by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry B. Karhoff.

Pallbearers were Henry Eischeid, Jr., Dr. Ray Eischeid, Elgie Goedert, Leo Goedert, Jack Traner and Don Powers. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Sharp Funeral Home of Carroll was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Neubaum died October 28 at the Carroll Health Center, where she had resided since January.

Relatives and friends attended the funeral from Seattle, Washington; Marienthal, Kansas; Omaha, Norfolk, and Ralston, Nebraska; Adrian, Minnesota; Dallas, Texas; Le Mars, Alton, Lohrville, Bettendorf, Remsen, Varina, Albert City, Halbur, Breda, Council Bluffs, Lidderdale, and Carroll.
