MRS. ED (LORETTA) VENTEICHER

Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Ed (Loretta) Venteicher was held Tuesday, August 19, 1980, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Manning, Iowa, with Msgr. Dean Walker as Celebrant. Music was by Sacred Heart Choir. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery with Dennis Kasperbauer, Stephen Irlbeck, David Rohe, Gary Venteicher, Linus Venteicher, and Ronald Vogl as casketbearers.

Loretta, daughter of Paul and Catherine (Hacker) Kasperbauer, was born on June 6, 1916, near Dedham, Iowa. She attended Manning and Templeton schools.

She was united in marriage with Edward Venteicher on February 8, 1938, in Templeton, Iowa. They farmed near Manning until 1972 when they moved into Manning.

Loretta was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Catholic Daughters of America, and the Altar Society. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She died unexpectedly early Saturday, August 16, 1980, at St. Anthony Hospital, Carroll, Iowa, at the age of 64 years, 2 months, and 10 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Kenneth, in 1968.

She is survived by her husband, Edward; the following children, LeRoy Venteicher, Huntington Beach, California, Mrs. Shirley Sjobakken (James), Ames, Iowa, James Venteicher, Manning, Robert Venteicher, Nutley, New Jersey, Mrs. Diane Scriven (Clark), Sterling, Colorado, Edward Rick Venteicher, Des Moines, Iowa, Lynn Richard Venteicher, Pella, Iowa; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Vogl, Manning, and Mrs. Ed Irlbeck, Dedham; two brothers, Frank Kasperbauer, Manning, and Paul A. Kasperbauer, Templeton; as well as by many other relatives and friends.
