She was married in Wiota, Wisconsin, in March 1875, to Charles M. Robinson, and to this union there were born four children: two daughters, Beatrice who died in infancy, and Ethel Maud residing with her brother, in Manning; and two sons, Charles Guy Robinson, who passed away in infancy, and Ralza M., a resident of Manning.
With her husband she came to Iowa immediately after her marriage, and made their home in Cass County for about five years, following which they moved to the farm northeast of Gray where the family home remained established for many years. The deceased's husband died ten years after they moved to this farm - that is, in the year 1885. Mrs. Robinson continued at the farm home until six years ago when she came to make her home with her son Ralza.
The deceased was first a member of the United Brethren Church at Gray, and later, when the Church was discontinued, she transferred her membership to the Methodist Church of the same town. She was also a member of the Rebecca Lodge.
Mother Robinson was a woman of outstanding courage and fortitude. Left alone as she was upon the death of her husband, she remained in the farm home educating her children, managing the stock, and directing the farm work - in days when help from any Government source was rare, and when there were hardships many to bear. This aspect of her is remembered with pride and gratitude by those nearest to her.
Surviving here are her son Ralza and daughter Ethel Maud, both of Manning; and five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The long period of loving and patient care given to the deceased by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ralza Robinson, will long be remembered by those who witnessed it, and will certainly not be without its just reward.
In the passing of mother Robinson another link in the chain that binds the present generation to be a very noble past is broken; but the link is reformed in the chain which extends out into the Glorious Beyond - a land where the vicissitudes of time, life are felt no more forever!
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock at the Ohde Funeral Home with Rev. F.C. Aldrich officiating. Burial was in the Cameron Center Cemetery, Audubon County, Iowa.
