Mrs. Meiers was born June 26, 1920, in Manning, a daughter of Sherman and Augusta (Jansen) Farrell. She attended Kindergarten through Seventh Grade at Manning. She worked for Priebe Egg Plant in Manning. On July 10, 1943, she was married to Earl Meiers in Long Beach, California. She worked at Ocoma Foods in Carroll, and then cooked for many years at Denny's Restaurant. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Earl, of Carroll; two daughters, Barbara Berndt and her husband, Charles, of Nixa, Missouri; and Carol Cerny and her husband, Dean, of Fairbury, Nebraska; three sons, James Meiers and his wife, Karen, of Lubbock, Texas; Donald Meiers and his wife, Sue, of Carroll; and David Meiers and his wife, Meshelle, of Rolla, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; and two brothers: Jimmy Farrell of San Diego, California; and Guy Farrell of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers,
Vernon and Roy Farrell; three sisters, Florence, Bonnie and, Ruby; and one grandchild, Tony.
