MARY MUNDT
1947

Mary Mundt was born March 26, 1880, in Gross Heidorn, Schaumburg Lippe, Germany, where she was baptized.

In the year 1883, with her parents, brothers, and sisters, she immigrated to America and located at Neola, Iowa. Two years later the family moved to Manning. She was confirmed in the Lutheran Church and remained a member of this faith throughout her life.

She was united in marriage with Gustave H. Mundt, February 25, 1901. This union was blessed with three children, one son and two daughters. Two of the children preceded her in death. Most of her married life was spent in Glidden.

In October 1946, the departed and her husband went to Walton, Nebraska, to make their home with their daughter, Mrs. R. Staehr.

Her strength began to fail rapidly and on Tuesday morning, January 21, after much suffering she passed away at the age of 66 years, 9 months, and 26 days.

She leaves to mourn her departure the following near relatives: Her husband, one daughter, Mrs. R. Staehr, Walton; two grandchildren, Mrs. Dale Retzlaff and Edgar Staehr, both of Walton; two brothers, William and August Nulle, Manning, and one sister, Mrs. Lena Hammer, Marian, Kansas.
