MARCELLA VETTER
Marcella Lucille Vetter, 81, of Arcadia died of a blood clot Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Arcadia Cemetery.

Mrs. Vetter was born in Maple River and had lived in the Manning area many years before moving to Arcadia in 1982. She was a homemaker and a member of Senior Citizens of Arcadia, Ace Club and Arcadia Cemetery Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond; a daughter, Carol Satterlee of Omaha; two sons, Dennis of Arcadia and Keith of Manning; three sisters, Helena Petersen of Westside, Anna Liechti of Carroll and Florence Beisch of Santa Ana, California; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

MARCELLA LUCILLE "SALLY"VETTER
Funeral service for Marcella "Sally" Vetter of Arcadia will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 1999, at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia.

Mrs. Vetter, 81, died Tuesday, July 20, 1999, at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, following a long illness.

Pastor Curt Dwyer will officiate the service. The casket will be moved to the church at 8:30 a.m.

Casket bearers will be David Hoogestraat, Tom Hoogestraat, Jim Liechti, John Vetter, Roger Schmidt, and Gail Mumm.

Burial will be in Arcadia Cemetery.

Friends will call from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 Friday night at the funeral home.

A daughter of Peter and Clara (Liechti) Holck, she was born December 2, 1917, at Maple River and was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia, both by pastor Theodore Tews.

Her father died when she was a year old.

She graduated from Blencoe, Iowa, High School in 1935.

She and Raymond Vetter were married November 24, 1942, at Zion Lutheran Church with Tews officiating.

They farmed five miles north of Manning from 1948 to 1982 then moved into Arcadia.

Mrs. Vetter was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Senior Citizens of Arcadia, the Ace Club, the Arcadia Cemetery Auxiliary, and the Home Makers Extension Club of Manning.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Vetter, of Arcadia; a daughter, Carol Sue Satterlee, and her husband, Alan, of Omaha, Nebraska; two sons and their wives: Dennis Ray, and Dianne Vetter of Arcadia and Keith Alan and Laurie Vetter of Manning; five grandchildren: Brian and Kristen Satterlee and Leora, Donald, and David Vetter; and three sisters: Helena Petersen of Westside.

Anne Marie Liechti of Carroll and Florence Beisch of Santa Ana, California.

Mrs. Vetter was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lou Ann Vetter; a grandson. Michael Vetter; a sister, Evelyn Holck; and three brothers: Fred, John, and William Hoogestraat.
