Mrs. August Nuhn, 82, Dies At Manning
Funeral Services Will Be Held at 2 P.M. Tuesday at Lutheran Church

Mrs. August Nuhn, 82, died at 2 o'clock Sunday morning at her home northwest of Manning, where she lived with her brother, Claus Bruhn, and her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jurgen and Annie (Odefey) Bruhn.

Mrs. Nuhn, who had been in ill health for some time, had recently undergone an operation at the St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll, having returned home about two weeks ago.

Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Lutheran Church, of which Mrs. Nuhn was a member. Pastor John M. Ansorge will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ed Kuhl, William Anthony, Charles Schroeder, Carl Otto, Ed Georgius, and Gus Koester.

The body is at the Ohde Funeral Home at present.

Mrs. Nuhn was born Margaretha Bruhn, July 7, 1858, in Teal, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Coming to the United States about the year 1880, she located in Clinton County. About nine years later she came to Carroll County.

She and her husband lived in South Manning for some time and also resided at Aspinwall. Her husband died in 1926.

Besides her two brothers above named, Mrs. Nuhn leaves one cousin, Jurgen Clasen of Manning.

She was preceded in death by four children, all of whom passed away in infancy.
