On Monday, John A. Lewis received a telegram from Des Moines, stating that Mrs. Peter B. Stouffer had died at her home in that city at eight o'clock on that morning, May 22, 1895. She was buried on Wednesday at her old home, Lanark, Illinois. A prominent resident of this city for many years, Mrs. Stouffer's death will be sadly mourned by Manning friends.

Mary Miller was born in Maryland July 4, 1830, and was buried in Lanark City Cemetery.
