BROTHER-IN-LAW DIED

Word was received by the Rev. John M. Ansorge last week that his brother-in-law, Dr. R. Neitzel of Springfield, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 1951, and was buried there Friday.

Dr. Neitzel was the husband of Reverend Ansorge's sister, Anna, who acted as his housekeeper when he first came to Manning in 1905-06.

He had been a member of the faculty at Concordia Seminary at Springfield 52 years.


EDUCATOR DIES
Dr. Richard C. Neitzel, 75. Springfield, a retired faculty member of Concordia seminary in Springfield, died there early yesterday. Rev. George Albers, 259 North College Street, said today. Rev. Neitzel is the father of Rev. Arthur E. Neitzel of Lincoln.

Ministers to Attend Dr. R.C. Neitzel Rites
A number of ministers and members of the four Missouri Synod Lutheran Churches in Decatur will travel to Springfield tomorrow for the funeral service of Dr. Richard C. Neitzel, veteran professor in Concordia Theological Seminary, who died Tuesday.

Classes have been suspended at the seminary for, today and tomorrow and a brief service for students, faculty and family was held there this morning.

Among the Decatur persons attending the public service tomorrow will be:
Rev. George C. Albers, district superintendent.
Rev. Alvin Mueller, St. Paul's Church.
Rev. Kenneth Frankenstein, Trinity Church.
Rev. Clarence Stenbeck, Our Redeemer Chapel.
Rev. George Beiderwieden, St. John's church.
Rev. Emil Mueller, St. John's, Calvin Plitt, St. John's.
Dr. Neitzel has frequently served in the Decatur Lutheran Churches and was especially helpful in the organization of Trinity Church.
