Former Resident Of Manning Dies In Council Bluffs
Odin B. Walters Had Been In Poor Health for 2 Years
O.B. Walters of Council Bluffs, former Manning resident, died at his home in Council Bluffs at 1 o'clock Thursday morning. He had been in poor health for about two years. Six months ago he under-went a serious operation, from which he seemed to be recovering satisfactorily when he suffered a relapse.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon in Council Bluffs. Attending from Manning will be Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Stuedeman and daughter, Alice, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Wiese, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wiese. They will be accompanied by Dr. and Mrs. Charles A. Easterly of Audubon.

Mr. Walters was born February 10, 1871, on a farm near Rockwell City. He was married to Miss Alma Stuedeman at Manning in December 1898.

Surviving with his wife are two sons, John Walters of Rochester, Minnesota, and Joe Walters, at home, and a brother, Frank Walters, of Rockwell City, who is at present in California.

Mr. Walters was one of the first residents of Manning, where he lived for many years, and was a well-known land dealer.

Last Rites For Former Resident At Council Bluffs
Funeral services for Odin B. Walters of Council Bluffs, former Manning resident, were held Saturday afternoon in Council Bluffs, with burial in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Mr. Walters died at his home early last Thursday morning, January 13, 1938, after an illness of some duration. Mr. Walters was born February 10, 1873, on a farm near Rockwell City, son of William and Mary (Garnhart) Walters. He was married to Miss Alma Stuedeman at Manning in December 1898.

Those who survive are his wife and two sons, John of Rochester, Minnesota, and Joe at home and a brother, Frank of Rockwell City who is at present in California.

Mr. Walters was a land dealer in Manning for a number of years and has a wide acquaintance here.

Those attending the funeral from here were Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Stuedeman and daughter Alice, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wiese, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Wiese, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Easterly of Audubon.

Odin B. Walters Dies at His Home
Odin Brown Walters, 65, former president of the Lincoln Road Machine Company, died Thursday at 1:30 a.m. at his residence, 601 Harrison Street. after nine months' general decline in health. He had retired several years ago.

Mr. Walters had lived in Council Bluffs since 1917. He held the patents under which the Lincoln Machine was manufactured.

Active in Masonic work prior to his retirement, Mr. Walters was a member of the Knights Templar and Shrine and was a thirty-second degree Mason before coming to Council Bluffs.

Surviving is his widow, Mrs. Alma C. Walters; two sons, Joe M. Walters of Council Bluffs and John H. Walters of Rochester, Minnesota; and one brother, John Frank Walters of Rockwell City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Woodring's Chapel with the Rev. J.R. Perkins of the First Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
