Raymond Weitl
Raymond Joseph Weitl, 67, of Templeton died of a heart ailment Thursday, May 22, 1997, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Carroll, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton.

Son of John and Sophia (Kitt) Weitl, he was born July 3, 1929. He was married to Lorraine Stangl on February 5, 1952, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.

A lifelong Carroll County resident, Mr. Weitl was a farmer and had been a vice-president of the American Association of Retired Persons and a delegate for the Older Iowans Legislature.

Surviving is his wife, Lorraine; three daughters, Diane Berger of Arcadia, Pat Franklin of Denver, Colorado, and Kathy Miller of Kingsville, Missouri; four sons, Mike of Templeton, Joe and Jim, both of Carroll, and Bill of Manning; 17 grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
