Last Rites Held Here Small Son Of Charley Stuhrs
Mr. and Mrs. Charley Stuhr of Glidden mourn the death of their son Robert Henry Stuhr who passed away at the hospital in Carroll following an illness of about six weeks. Robert was taken to the hospital in Carroll about 10 days previous to his demise, where everything possible was done to save his young life, but in vain. He passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 1937, at the age of 7 years, 11 months, and 12 days. The cause of his death was a rare blood disease, malignant purpura hemorrhagica.

Son of Charles and Elda (Rowedder) Stuhr, Jr., he was born June 7, 1929.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charley Stuhr, Jr., one brother Daryl and two sisters, Joyce and Betty Lou Stuhr. His grandfather, Charley Stuhr, Sr. and his grandmother, Mrs. Christine Rowedder, all of Carroll County, and many other relatives and a number of little friends will greatly miss him in their play hours.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Ohde Funeral Home, the Rev. William R. Yingling of Carroll officiating. Interment was in the Manning Cemetery. As pall bearers acted Howard, Leo, Amos, and Alve Stuhr, cousins, and Merlin and Kenneth Schroeder, second cousins.
