Mrs. Rosa Ann Johanna (Wenzel) Rutz, 88, of Manning, who had been in the long-term care portion of Manning General Hospital, died there late Wednesday, January 8, 1975.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church here, with burial in the Manning Cemetery. The Rev. Edward F. Heinicke will officiate. Friends may call at the Ohde Funeral Home, Manning.

Mrs. Rutz was born August 30, 1886, near Manilla and attended school there. On December 23, 1914, she married Fred Rutz and they made their home in Manning. He died March 26, 1971.

Surviving are four children, Harold of Des Moines, Mrs. Margery Mintle of Iowa City, Amos of Manning and Burton of Cedar Rapids; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and three sisters, Mrs. Herman Huebner of Manilla, Mrs. Bernard Arkebauer of Wisconsin and Mrs. Herman Renken of Palmer.

Besides her husband, 11 brothers and sisters preceded Mrs. Rutz in death.
