Rites Scheduled For Mrs. Stribe To Be Tuesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Stribe, 55, who was born Rosa Sievers in 1889, daughter of Peter and Anna (Ruge) Sievers, will be held from the Ohde Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with the Rev, Arthur Raeside officiating.

Mrs. Stribe passed away at the Wyatt hospital at 12:45 Friday noon, June 16, 1944, following a long illness. She is survived by four children: Earl Stribe of Manning, Mrs. Jack Budde of Mount Union, Iowa, Mrs. Howard Wood of Moville, Iowa, and Miss Phyllis Stribe of Des Moines, also several sisters and a brother. Her husband passed away several years ago.

Final Rites For Mrs. Stribe at Manning Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Stribe, 55, were held at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon with the Rev. Arthur Raeside of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery and the following were pallbearers: Bert Petersen, Henry Bartels, Art Hinners, Bert Eich, John J. Struve, and Ralph G. Sutherland.

Clifford M. Johnson sang, "Going Home"' and a quartet consisting of Martha (Mrs. Nick) Schrum, Emma (Mrs. Albert) Dietz; Herman C. Pahde, and Clifford M. Johnson sang, "The Old Rugged Cross." Bonita (Mrs. Henry) Hagedorn was the accompanist.

Mrs. Stribe spent her entire life in Manning. She was born, Rosa Marie Sievers, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter H. Sievers at Manning, January 7, 1889. She married Charles G. Stribe at Manning March 6, 1912. He passed away July 12, 1938.

Surviving are her children: Earl G.H. Stribe, Manning; Mrs. R.H. Hood (Arlene), Moville, Iowa; Mrs. Charles J. Budde (Vera), Mt. Union, Iowa; and Phyllis Marie Stribe, Des Moines, Iowa; also three sisters: Miss Amanda Sievers, Manning; Miss Theresa Sievers, Los Angeles, California; and Mrs. Herman Struve (Frieda) Harlan, Iowa; one brother Herman Sievers of Coon Rapids, Iowa; and her father, Peter H. Sievers of Arcadia.

Her mother preceded her in death August 11, 1904; and an infant daughter in 1914.

Mrs. Stribe died at the Wyatt Memoria Hospital here June 17, following an illness that began in April 1943.

She submitted to an operation for cancer at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, last summer. The body was taken to the family home in the country Monday night.

Mrs. Charles Stribe
Funeral services were held from the Ohde Funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday for Mrs. Charles Stribe, 55, who died at the Manning Memorial hospital last Saturday. The services were conducted by the Rev. Arthur Raeside of the Presbyterian church and burial was in the Manning Cemetery.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter H. Sievers, she was born in Manning and spent her entire life here. She was married to Charles George Stribe in Manning March 6, 1892. He died July 12, 1938.
She is survived by her children, Earl G.H. Stribe of Manning, Mrs. R.H. Wood of Moville, Mrs. Charles J. Budde of Mount Union and Phyllis Marie Stribe of Des Moines; three sisters, Miss Amanda Sievers of Manning, Miss "Tressie" Sievers of Los Angeles and Mrs. Herman Struve of Harlan; a brother, Herman Sievers of Coon Rapids and her father, Peter H. Sievers of Coon Rapids.
