Wiese, resident since 1915, dies at 100
Rosalie Caroline Wiese, who celebrated her 100th birthday on July 19, died August 6, 1978, at Victor Valley Community Hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. from Dudley Mortuary with interment at Hillside Memorial Park, Redlands, California. Daughter of Henry and Anna (Georgius) Radeleff, she was born July 19, 1878.

Mrs. Wiese came to the valley with her three children from Redlands in 1915 and spent much of her life here contributing to the growing community.

She taught the third and fourth grades at Victorville, Elementary School for many years. was a dressmaker, owned her own dance school at one time. and was one of the first operators employed by Continental Telephone Company. Victor Valley Women's Club held her as a member in good standing and she sang with Mothers Choir, PTA.

She is survived by two daughters, Rosalind Hammond, of Victorville and Ethel McBeth of Hesperia; one son, Dwight Wiese of Victorville; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
