Mrs. Morton, 88, Dies of Stroke
Sarah (Maddock) Morton, 88, of 2409 Thirty-ninth Street, a resident of Des Moines for 40 years, died Tuesday, December 20, 1955 at her home. Death was caused by a paralytic stroke. She had been ill for 10 weeks.

Services will be Friday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Ayrshire, Iowa. Burial will be at Silver Lake Cemetery there.

Mrs. Morton lived at Ayrshire for 18 years before moving to Des Moines. She was born September 21, 1867, at Camden, Ohio, daughter of Edward and Millicent (Felton) Maddock.
She married Dr. Elmer Elmsworth Morton who passed away in 1952.

Survivors are a son, E.M. Morton, Des Moines, and a daughter, Genevieve (Morton) Haselton, Iowa City, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
