Funeral services are to be at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning. with the Rev. Mr. Israel, minister of the Manilla Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.
Mr. Wenzel, who was born August 6, 1881, one mile east of Manilla, son of Carl and Wilhelmine (Schwartz) Wenzel, had lived at his present farm home for the last thirty-three years. He was a farmer all of his life.
Thirty-five years ago, he was married to Miss Amanda Kai at her home east of Manilla.
Surviving with his wife are two children: Mrs. Howard Saunders (Emma) and Henry Wenzel, both of Manilla, and one grandchild.
He also leaves his step-mother, Catherine (Steckelberg) Wenzel of Ft. Dodge; two sisters, Rosa (Mrs. Fred) Rutz and Amalie (Mrs. Jacob) Fielweber, both of Manning; two brothers, Helmuth Wenzel of Manilla and Ben Wenzel of Manning; four half-sisters. Mrs. Harold Brown, Chicago, Mrs. Herman Huebner, Carroll, Mrs. Bernard Arkabaur, St. Louis, and Wilhelmina (Mrs. Herman) Renken, Manson, and one half-brother, Carl Wenzel, Ft. Dodge.
Three sisters preceded him in death. They were: Martha (Mrs.
John) Asmus, Mathilda (Mrs. Ed) Schultz, and Emma (Mrs. John) Schade.

Siegfried Wenzel
Funeral services were held at the Ohde Funeral home at 2 p. m. Thursday for
Siegfried Wenzel, 61, who died Monday morning at his home five miles north of
Manilla. He had been in ill health for some time and seriously ill the last two
weeks. The services were conducted by the Rev. Mr. Israel of the Manilla
Lutheran Church and burial was in the Manning Cemetery.
He was born on a farm near Manilla and had lived on the same
farm for the last 33 years. He had been a farmer all his life. Thirty-five
years ago he was married to Miss Amanda Kai, who survives, together with two
children, Mrs. Howard Saunders and Henry Wenzel, and one grandchild; also
surviving are his step-mother, Mrs. Wilhelmina Wenzel of Fort Dodge: two
sisters, Mrs. Fred Rutz and Mrs. Jacob Fielweber, both of Manning; two
brothers, Helmuth Wenzel of Manilla and Ben Wenzel of Manning: four half-sisters,
Mrs. Harold Brown of Chicago, Mrs. Herman Huebner of Carroll, Mrs. Bernard
Arkabauer of St. Louis, and Mrs. Herman Renken of Manson; a
half-brother, Carl Wenzel of Ft. Dodge.
