Funeral services for Ted Paulsen, 64, were held on Monday morning, September 11, 1967, at 11 o'clock at Zion Lutheran Church here with Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiating and Dorothy Kusel as organist. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery. Pallbearers were Karl Rohr, Paul Vollmer, Raymond Sander, Elmer Mueller, Wade Mohr of Manning, and Melvin Carter of Irwin.
Son of Paul K. and Maria (Gorichs) Paulsen, he was born June 11, 1903, at Irwin, and graduated from Irwin High School. He married Esther Sunderman in Des Moines on December 27, 1930. The couple came to Manning in 1945, and Mr. Paulsen had been employed by the McMahon Feed and Seed Company, since that time.
He entered St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll at noon on Thursday, September 7, and died Friday morning, September 8, at 8 o'clock.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Mrs. J.V. (Charlotte) Callanan, Downers Grove, Illinois; three grandchildren; a brother, Alfred Paulsen of Irwin; and three sisters: Mrs. Anna Larsen, Irwin; Mrs. F.J. (Elsie) McMahon, Manning; Mrs. Alice Gaines, Des Moines.

Theodore "Ted" Emmett Paulsen, 64, of Manning died
at 8 a.m. Friday, September 8, 1967, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll where he was admitted about noon on Thursday.
His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Zion Lutheran Church here, of which he was a member. Pastor Edward F. Heinicke will officiate and burial will be in the Manning Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ohde Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Saturday.

Mr. Paulsen was born at Irwin June 11, 1903, a son of Paul K. and Maria (Gorichs) Paulsen, and graduated from Irwin High School.
His marriage to Esther Sander took place December 27, 1930, at Des Moines and they came to Manning in 1945.
Mr. Paulsen had been employed since then by McMahon Feed and Seed.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Charlotte (Mrs. Jerome) Callanan, Downers Grove, Illinois; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Larsen, Irwin; Mrs. Francis J. (Elsie) McMahon, Manning, and Mrs. Mice Gaines, Des Moines; and a brother, Alfred Paulsen of Irwin.
Four brothers preceded him in death.
