Thomas P. Shields Thomas Shields, born August 16, 1948, came to Colorado Springs from Manning, Iowa, at the age of 9 months, where his father owned/operated a grocery store from 1941 until May 1949. He was son of Joseph R. Shields and Viola (Hagge) Shields. He died April 2025.

Tom married Linda (French) Shields on June 25, 1971, in Colorado Springs.

Tom's game was golf. After retiring Tom was a starter / marshal at the Broadmoor Hotel Golf Course. Many an enjoyable game was played there with many new friends. Tom was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church.

Tom served in the U.S. Navy for four years as a Corpsman.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, and his son. Tom is also survived by other family members.

Tom's sisters survive him. Mark Shields, Joseph, Jr., and Joan Buco pre-deceased Tom.

Mass will be held on May 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel's, 8755 Scarborough Dr, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80920. Private interment is at Mount St. Francis Columbarium, 7665 Assisi Heights, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919.
