Viola Sievert
Viola Sievert, 78, of Denison died Tuesday, March 15, 1983, in a nursing home in Denison.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Our Savior Lutheran Church in Denison. The Rev. Kenneth Haydon will officiate. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Denison, Iowa, under the direction of the Huebner Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sievert, the former Viola Hast, was born November 5, 1904, near Denison where she was raised, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Hast. She attended Denison public schools and business college in Omaha. For several years she was employed with the Omaha World Herald.

She married George Sievert February 1, 1941, in Denison.

In 1955, they moved to Manning where she was employed in the bank. In 1964, they retired and moved to Denison. George died in August of 1965.

Survivors include one son, Robert of Kirkman; four daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Anne) Ericson of Egg Harbor, Wisconsin; Mrs. Ronald (Georgene) Roland of Lutz, Florida; Mrs. Norma Dryden of Carroll, Iowa; and Mrs. Dale (Elsie) Baughman of Harlan, Iowa; two brothers, Adolph of Omaha and Raymond of Phoenix, Arizona; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
