Rites Held Saturday For Mrs. Viola SpaII
Funeral rites were held Saturday afternoon from the Voss Chapel, Seymour, Indiana, for Mrs. Viola Ann Spall, of that city, who died last Wednesday night, April 1, 1959, at the Jackson County Hospital. She had been ill for three weeks and underwent surgery at the hospital on March 13 and again on March 31.

The Rev L.C. Leonard, Redeemer Lutheran Pastor, was in charge of the rites. Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery west of Seymour.

Born in Manning, Iowa, August 24, 1911, a daughter of Mrs. Emma (Grimm) Gottsch and the late William Gottsch.

Mrs. Spall had lived in Jackson County for 16 years.

She was married in Nebraska in 1932 to Lee R. Spall, who survives.

For some time she had been employed as a cook at the Colonial Cafe in Seymour, was a member of the Redeemer Church there, and also of the Auxiliary to the Leslie-Arbuckle-Zimmerman Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Surviving in addition to the husband and mother are three children, William Lee Spall and Mrs. Vila Ra Coker both living in Seymour, and Mrs. Judy Walters is a resident of Columbus, Indiana.

Also surviving are a brother Orville Gottsch of Hawaii, and three sisters, Mrs. Neolene Lane, Waterloo, Iowa; Mrs. Berdine Roth and Mrs. Verna Korwes, both living in California, and five grandchildren.
