WALTER OSSENKOP
Walter H. Ossenkop, 83, retired Manning farmer, died Friday, February 6, 1970, at the Manning General Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from Zion Lutheran Church at Manning, Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiating. Burial will be in Hayes Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning after 2 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Ossenkop was born July 6, 1886, in Hayes Township, to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ossenkop.

He was married to Henrietta Strathman on March 15, 1911, at Denison. The couple farmed in Hayes Township until retiring in 1948. Mrs. Ossenkop died October 1, 1969.

Survivors are four children: Vernon of Vail; Earl, Denison; Mrs. Elmer (Louise) Stoffers, Westside, and Mils. Vernus (Marion) Grimsman of Carroll; also 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral rites for Walter Ossenkop, 83, retired farmer, were held, Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning with burial in Hayes Township Cemetery.

Mr. Ossenkop died at the Manning Hospital Friday following a brief illness. His wife died on October 1, 1969.

He is survived by four children: Vernon, Vail; Earl, Denison; Mrs. Elmer Stoffers, Westside; and Mrs. Vernis Grimsman, Carroll; sixteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
