William Meiers, 65; Of Arcadia, Dies About 2:00
Stroke Causes Death Of County Resident At Hospital William Meiers, age 65 years, died at St. Anthony hospital at Carroll at 2 o'clock this morning, March 11, 1935, from a stroke which he suffered Saturday afternoon.

The body is at the Huffman Funeral Home in Carroll and will be taken to the Adolph Hagge home tomorrow morning. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church in Arcadia. The Rev. Walters will be in charge. A short service at 1:30 o'clock at the Hagge home will be held before taking the body to the church. Burial will be in the Arcadia Cemetery.

Born in 1869, Mr. Meiers has been a resident of Arcadia since September 1918 when he and his family moved from a farm near Westside. Since that time, he has been the caretaker for the Arcadia Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife and ten children, William Meiers of Nebraska, Peter Meiers, Jack Meiers, Louis Meiers, Earl Meiers, (Emma) Mrs. Adolph Hagge, (Mamie) Mrs. Vernon Schaefer, all of Arcadia, Miss Elsie Meiers, Miss Loretta Meiers, both at home, and Mrs. Helen Pauley of Carroll.
