She leaves to mourn her sad departure, five sisters and two brothers, namely: Elvira of Rock Island, Illinois; Eldren, Mrs. Erwin Popp of Manilla; Melvin of Manning; Veronica, Mrs. Harley Lingle of Denison; LaJune, Mrs. Edward Becker of Coon Rapids; Myron and Veronica at home.
She also leaves Keith Compton, her fiancee and a host of other relatives and friends.
A brother and sister preceded her in death.
She received her education in various rural schools and attended Manilla and Coon Rapids High Schools having graduated with the class of 1941, after which she had been at home.
Wilma was a jolly and industrious young lady and was always ready to lend a helping hand to all those who needed her help.
There will be a vacant chair in the home that will never be filled.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 31st, at the Coder Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Eugene Alexander, pastor of the Coon Rapids Methodist Church in charge.
Mr. Wayne Textor and Mr. Lewis Huff sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Sweet Hour of Prayer." Mrs. Eugene Alexander played the piano accompaniment.
Casket bearers were: Earl Davis, Orval Robinson, Jim Raygor,
Kenneth Strom, Robert Jacobson, and Paul Slaybaugh.
Interment was in the Manning Cemetery.
