Merlyn and Beverly have three children: Brian married Theresa Nulle on June 27, 1981. They have two children, Jamie Jo and Bryce.
Brett married Gloria Olson on October 15, 1988. They have three children, Melissa, Michelle and MaKayla.
Brenda married Terry Sterk on June 15, 1993. They have 4 children: Tim married Alys Faxon on August 2, 2003. They have one son Ashton, born June 25, 2004; Tracey married Jeremy Bahl on June 2, 2001; Jeremia Macumber; and Terrence John (T.J.) Sterk.
Brenda (Irlbeck) Sterk was born to Merlyn and Beverly Irlbeck in Carroll, Iowa. Brenda's ancestors immigrated from Germany and Scotland. She graduated from Manning High School in 1983 and is currently the Director of Technical Support at Caleris Inc.
Terry and Brenda Sterk have four children, Tim, Tracey, Jeremia, and T.J. Tim Sterk graduated from Manning High School in 1993. He now lives in Lee’s Summit, Missouri and is married to Alys Faxon. They have one son, Ashton Dean. Both Tim and Alys are teachers in the Kansas City area. Tracey (Sterk) Bahl graduated from Manning High School in 1997. She lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is married to Jeremy Bahl. Tracey currently is the service manager at Guaranty Bank and Jeremy is an underwriter for United Fire Group. Jeremia Macumber graduated from Manning High School in 2001. He lives Colfax, Iowa and is a John Deere Ag Technician at Van Wall’s Farmer Supply’s dealership in Colfax, Iowa. Terrence John "TJ" is currently attending Manning schools and will graduate in 2013.
Brian and Theresa Irlbeck were married on June 27, 1981, at Sacred Heart Church in Manning, Iowa. Brian is the son of Merlyn and Beverly (Dalgety) Irlbeck, and Theresa is the daughter of Wesley and Rose Anne (Muhlbauer) Nulle.
The Irlbecks are the parents of one daughter and one son. Jamie Jo, who graduated from Manning High School in 2000, Iowa State University in May, 2005, and is currently living in Omaha where she is furthering her education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Bryce Allen, is currently attending Manning Community School. He is very active in basketball, football, track, baseball, and Boy Scouts.
Brian is currently the Service Manager at Puck Implement where he has been employed since 1979. Theresa is a Certified Medical Assistant and works at the Family Healthcare Center. Running their family farming operation is also a big part of their lives. Brian has been an active School Board member for the past two terms and Theresa fills her extra time with organizing Little League and attending sporting events.
Brett lived in the town of Manning until 1972, when he moved with his parents to a farm one mile south of Manning, where he was raised with his brother Brian and sister Brenda. Since graduating from Manning Community School in 1982, he went on to receive a degree in electronics from National Education Center. Brett is currently employed at Qwest Communications in Ames. He has been a member of the Manning Fire Department since 1998 and is also a member of the Manning Ambulance Service. He is also an instructor for the Fire Service Training Bureau of Iowa. Brett enjoys showing his Allis Chalmers WD 45 diesel tractor in shows and parades.
Gloria moved to Manilla in 1982 from Texas and graduated from Manilla Community School in 1986. Gloria is an employee of AGP.
They have three daughters: Melissa, Michelle, and MaKayla.
