Lois (Wilhelm) Peters stayed with the Sam Garmire family during the week at 333 Second Street when she had Catechism classes during her Freshman year in high school. She attended Catechism classes on Tuesday and Thursday after school and Saturday morning at Zion Lutheran Church on Second Street. Lois' family lived out in the country so she stayed with the Garmire family during the week and then her dad picked her up on Saturday so she could stay the weekend at her parents' home.

Lois went to 9th grade at the old grade school which was located just west of this home on the north side of the road and the church was down the block to the east on the south side of the road (present day Baptist Church).
