Marion took quite a few pictures of the June 18, 19, & 20, 1981 Manning Centennial and had a good camera with 35mm film and then got some good prints which scanned quite well, so I'm showing them with her tribute.

It is hard to believe that 2031 will be Manning's 150th - while this may seem like a long ways off, it will be here before you know it...who will be living at that time who remembers the 1981 and 2006 celebrations is yet to be known but there will be some people still living.
What will be more interesting is if there will be anyone in the younger generations and in charge who will truly appreciate that celebration and how much effort they will put into it to make as much as a success as the 100th and 125th anniversaries.

What I always find most interesting while looking at old pictures is what you can see in the background - look at how the store fronts have changed in these 1981 pix...
