Loren & Helen WellerLoren was born November 13, 1930 at Pretty Prairie south of Buck Grove and had six sisters and brothers.
He attended country school at Hayes Township No. 7. He grew up on the Wiese farm that his parents purchased in 1935 and worked at home, in North Dakota and Florida.
Loren married Helen Phillips at Lake View, Iowa. She is the daughter of Arthur and Bertha Phillips and there were eight children in this family. Helen graduated from Lake View High School in 1949. She worked at Loring Hospital for several years before her marriage.
Loren and Helen have lived and farmed in the same place since their marriage. They are the parents of seven children.
They retired in 1995 to a new home they had built.
