Leander and Eileen Halbur

Sue, Kristy, Eileen, Terry, Carla, Ken, Scott

Leander is the son of Bernard and Margaret Halbur. Eileen is the daughter of John and Carmeleta Riesberg.

Both Leander and Eileen grew up in Halbur, Iowa. They were married on January 8, 1955, shortly after Leander was released from the Army. They moved to the Bernard Halbur farm south of Halbur where they resided until January 18, 1967 when they moved to the John and Helen Weible farm south of Manning.

In 1987 they purchased a home in Manning from the Leo Bruch estate.

Leander passed away at his home on January 26, 1998.

There were six children born to this union. Sue lives in Des Moines and is married to Dan DeGard. She has 3 children, 1 grandson and 2 step-children.

Ken lives in Geneva, Nebraska and is married to Pat Ferneding. They have 2 children.

Terry lives in LaGuna Hills, California and is married to JoAnne Croghan. They have 3 children.

Kristy lives west of Manning and is married to Kent Hugeback. They have 5 children.

Scott lives on the family farm south of Manning and is married to Darlys Klocke. They have 6 children and 1 granddaughter.

Carla lives in Manning and is married to Craig Hacker. They have 3 children.
