Rhonda J. Sandison, 58, of Harwich, Massachusetts, died in her sleep, with her husband and two children by her side, on Friday, January 6th, 2023.

Rhonda was born in Manning, Iowa on October 23rd, 1964, to Roland and Laurene (Claussen) Meeves. She married John C. Sandison on June 7th, 1998, at the Lighthouse Inn in Dennis, Massachusetts.

Rhonda graduated from Manning High School in 1983, and continued her education where she graduated from Iowa lakes College. She moved east as a nanny in Stamford, Connecticut, then worked in Fairfield County, Connecticut, as a bookkeeper for several years.

She moved with her family to East Harwich in 2005 and has worked for the last 7 years at the central office of the Nauset School District.

She had a wonderful gentle heart and a smile that warmed all who saw it. Rhonda was a big supporter of her family and the community. She was an officer for the Chatham PTA, a volunteer teachers assistant at Trinity Christian Academy, and a member of the Nauset boosters.

Rhonda was very artistic and loved to create extravagant cake and cupcake designs for her friends and families' celebrations.

Rhonda was always up for an adventure, whether it was scuba diving, white water rafting, escape rooms or biking.

Rhonda is survived by her husband John Sandison 63, her son James Sandison 22, and her daughter Skyeler Sandison 21. She is preceded in death by her older brother Keith Meeves. She leaves behind her mother Laurene Meeves, 1 older brother Bruce Meeves, and 2 younger brothers, Ed and Steve Meeves. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews and other family members, and friends.

Calling hours will be held at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, Blute Chapel 678 Main St. Harwich Center from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 20. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Peters Church on Route 137 in Harwich on Saturday, January 21 at 11:00 a.m., with a celebration lunch for Rhonda to follow.
