Mass of the resurrection for Harold J. "Hap" Walsh, 56, Templeton, born April 15, 1919, was celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Church here, by the Rev. Eugene T. Schumacher. Also in the sanctuary was the Rev. Jerome Coyle of Roselle.

Pallbearers were Lonnie Ferneding, Bill Rupiper, Ray Nepple, Gene Langel, Wayne Siepker, and Randy Behrens. Interment was in the parish cemetery where military honors were accorded by American Legion Post No. 22 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3517, both of Manning.

The Ohde Funeral Home of Manning was in charge of arrangements.

Attending the funeral were relatives and friends from Annandale, Virginia; Chicago, Illinois; Des Moines, Fort Dodge, Granger, Carroll, Manning, Dedham, and Coon Rapids, and the local community.

Mr. Walsh, who had been in failing health the past year, died September 7, 1975, at the Manning General Hospital, Manning.

He is survived by his wife, Anna (Knueven) Walsh, and four children, Jerry Walsh of Omaha, Nebraska; Judy Lohrmann of Carroll; Mike and Dave Walsh of Templeton.

Harold J. Walsh, 56, owner of Hap's Tavern here for the past five years, died Sunday, September 7, 1975, at Manning General Hospital, Manning. He had been in ill health the last year.

Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Church, Templeton, by the Rev. Eugene Schumacher. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with military honors by V.F.W. Post No. 3517 and American Legion Post No. 22 of Manning. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, where the rosary will be recited that evening at 8.

Mr. Walsh was born at Guthrie Center March 15, 1919, a son of Joe and Elsie (Brutsche) Walsh. He received his education at Coon Rapids High School and Capital City Commercial School, Des Moines, and spent four years in military service. He was married to Ann Knueven at Templeton January 21, 1946. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church here.

Surviving with his wife are five children, Jerry and Mrs. Curt (Judy) Lohrmann of Carroll, Tom, Mike, and Dave, at home; four grandchildren; a brother, Howard Walsh of Des Moines; and a sister, Mrs. George (Delores) Cox of Annandale, Virginia.
