Services for Leo John Wuebker, 63, of Perry, who died Saturday of a heart attack at Dallas County Hospital in Perry, were Tuesday at the Fouch-Murdock Funeral Home in Perry.

Burial was in the Violet Hill Cemetery, Perry, Iowa. Memorials may be left in his name, or to the St. Patrick's Catholic Foundation.

The Rev. Garry Culver officiated with Penny Wuebker as pianist, Charles Schott as organist and Darlene Einck as soloist.

Pallbearers were Denny Wuebker, Richard Wuebker, Donald Stracke, Howard Seeley, Howard Heaton, and Keith Lueders.

Honorary pallbearers were Richard Paulson, Cliff Heisler, John Sable, and Albert Jenkins.

He was born to John and Frances (Miller) Wuebker October 29, 1925, in Mount Carmel. He married Ruby Anthony October 10, 1949, in the Sacred Heart Parish in Manning.

In 1962, he began working for Oscar Mayer as a quality control person until his retirement in 1983.

During WW II he served in the Navy.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Perry. He operated a restaurant and bar in Arcadia for one year and Wuebker's Tap and Recreation Bowling Alleys in Manning for 12 years.

He was a member of the American Legion in Perry, the Knights of Columbus, and the Moose Lodge.

Preceding him in death are his parents, one brother and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby of Perry; three sons, John Jerome, and Jim, all of Perry; three daughters, Patty Delagardelle of Anamosa, Peggy Jurgensmeyer of Blue Springs, Missouri; and Penny Wuebker of Johnston; one brother, Paul Wuebker of Arcadia; one sister, Rosaline Wiedemyer of South Pasadena, California, and 11 grandchildren.

Leo J. Wuebker, 63, of Perry died of a heart attack Saturday at Dallas County Hospital. A mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Violet Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Wuebker was born in Mount Carmel. He retired from the quality control department of Oscar Mayer and had operated a restaurant in Arcadia and a tavern and bowling alley in Manning. He was a member of American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Moose Lodge, and was a Navy Veteran of World War II.

Surviving is his wife, Ruby; three sons, John, Jerome, and Jim, all of Perry; three daughters, Patty Delagardelle of Anamosa, Peggy Jurgensmeyer of Blue Springs, Missouri; and Penny Wuebker of Johnston; a brother, Paul of Arcadia; a sister, Rosaline Wiedemyer of South Pasadena, California; and 11 grandchildren.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at Fouch-Murdock Funeral Home, where the family will meet with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and a scripture rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church foundation.
